What exactly is considered a "corrective color" service?
Corrective color is required anytime we need to significantly alter, fix, or remove previous hair color. This includes removing dark box dye to go lighter, fixing uneven banding or “hot roots” from a home dye job, neutralizing extreme brassiness, or repairing heavily overlapped and damaged highlights. Essentially, if your hair color has gone wrong or has complex layers of previous dye, it is considered a color correction.
While we can always make a significant improvement in your first session, corrective color is often a journey rather than a quick fix. Depending on the current condition of your hair and your ultimate goal, it may take two or more sessions to safely achieve the perfect result. During your consultation, we will establish realistic expectations and build a step-by-step roadmap for your hair transformation.

We refuse to push your hair past what it can safely handle. Because every color correction is entirely unique, the timing can vary drastically. Stripping old pigment, neutralizing unwanted tones, and establishing a new base requires extreme precision and patience. These appointments are marathons, not sprints, and can easily take anywhere from 4 to 8 hours. We highly recommend clearing your schedule for the day so you can relax while our master colorists work their magic.
Because the process is so highly customized, it is impossible to provide a flat rate without first seeing your hair. Pricing for corrective color is typically determined by the complexity of the correction, the amount of time required, and the amount of product used. We require an in-person consultation prior to booking your correction so we can thoroughly analyze your hair, perform a strand test if necessary, and provide you with a transparent and accurate price estimate.
